About

Esther Diplock

I'm so glad you're here.

Hundreds of clients into this beautiful work of mine, I can say with certainty: you have something valuable, powerful and much needed to offer our world… yourself.

I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you to figure out what matters most to you--and empowering you to go for it.

Pain and suffering are isolating. Connection is the remedy for alienation. Invitation and openness are antidotes for a cycle of self-limiting thoughts and behaviours.

My sessions are fine-dining and takeaway: Without judgement we savour what unfolds, wipe our hands of what you outgrow and then wrap up the epiphanies for you to integrate into your responses to life's challenges.

Every session with me is centred around loving intention and deep compassion.

From there, I offer the expertise of my training, the thousands of hours of therapeutic experience and the insight and wisdom I've gained through decades of personal growth and self-expression.

What I bring to our work together

I’m kind, I’m brave, I’m keenly observant, I’m firm, I’m resourceful.

Tears & laughter, words & breath, movement & stillness are all part of the process.

Like my husband and partner William, I have a big heart and a deep commitment to live, with integrity, my own best life as I support you in doing the same.

I know you are scrolling through our website because you have a need of some kind. You are hoping to find answers—a way forward. Let's move forward together.

My Qualifications

I am a lifelong learner on an ever-evolving journey of creative self-expression:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (University of Queensland)

  • Master of Counselling (Christian Heritage College)

  • Advanced Diploma of Integrated Somatic Psychotherapy (Institute of Body Psychotherapy)

  • Kundalini Yoga teacher

  • Laughter Yoga leader

  • Gender Equity & Reconciliation International (GERI) Trainer and Facilitator

I am a clinical member and accredited supervisor with PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and am ARCAP (Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) Registered.

Since 2005 I have grown my therapy and supervision practice, having previously worked as an Occupational Therapist from 1996. Over the years I have lectured and tutored at several tertiary institutions including Christian Heritage College (CHC), Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and the Institute of Body Psychotherapy, training students in counselling and body psychotherapy.

But by far, my most important qualification is my physical, emotional, spiritual and interpersonal transformation.

Over the years, I have renewed my connection to Spirit, opened my heart to love and relationships, released the frozen terror stored in my body, accessed the power and beauty of my creativity. I have shed, and continue to shed, what no longer serves me.

And the immense gratitude I feel for these hard-won gifts is expressed in every moment of my work with clients like you.

It would be my pleasure to be a witness to your own emerging transformation, in the area(s) of your life where you are ready to shine.

Katherine's Journey

"Esther has provided me with a safe, supportive and creative space in which to heal my life. I have been able to reframe experiences from the past, allow grief to be felt and start holding hope for my future. If my thought patterns were a house then they have had a full renovation, and now we are working on adding wonderful, new extensions! The best decision I have ever made was making my first appointment with Esther, and I encourage anyone considering seeking help to do so - you are worth it!”
